2011 Innovation Award Winners

At "Connections," Ultimate Software's annual global partner forum, Ultimate recognized some of its customers and their HCM teams who've gone above and beyond the course of duty to lead their organization. Presented at Ultimate's global partner forum in March 2011, the Innovation Awards acknowledge people and organizations that have lead our industry in the ways they use technology and the way they manage, motivate and reward their people.

  • First Horizon started with Ultimate many years ago and leverages almost every component of UltiPro. In the past 24 months, they took advantage of Ultimate's onboarding solution, not only reducing time-to-productivity for employees but also creating metrics that demonstrate the improvements in productivity and retention based on onboarding and engagement.
  • PSAV was honored for a comprehensive restructuring of its HR operations. With more than 6,000 employees across 600 locations worldwide, PSAV completely re-engineered their business processes and at the same time deployed UltiPro – not just to manage HR operations, but to align and measure their entire operation based on common goals, culture and performance.
  • Sony Music Entertainment has put together a phenomenal track record for payroll execution. They consistently issue their W2s by the second week in January, and they have never issued a W2-C on the UltiPro platform. Ultimate recognized Sony Music Entertainment for innovation in running flawlessly, the ultimate goal in any payroll operation.
  • Texas Roadhouse successfully transitioned to SaaS. With Ultimate’s SaaS, businesses like Texas Roadhouse can take advantage of the simplicity and affordability of an on-demand HCM solution without the various complexities or high costs of implementing and maintaining a traditional, on-premise system.
  • Wawanesa Mutual Insurance deployed a new succession-planning program to support the company’s long-term plans for growth and operational stability. In the process, they established a complete set of metrics to find and recognize future leaders, and also applied metrics to their learning management efforts to prove out the training programs in place to fast-track high-potential employees. For their leading work in strategic talent management, Ultimate was pleased to recognize Wawanesa Mutual.
  • Westminster Communities built out a company-wide wellness program and also put programs in place for assessing risk and controlling costs, reducing premiums while maintaining quality of coverage. The results? Westminster Communities saved more than $6 million over 4 years, while actively involving employees in maintaining and improving their health.
